Trust me when I say that I have heard everything and we will tackle it together. Newborn sessions are designed to be laid back – so let’s start at the beginning. So now what?

You are set on me as your Morristown, New Jersey newborn photographer – you will shoot me an inquiry here and fill out the questionnaire that will pop into your inbox right away. The questionnaire tells me when you’re due, what package you would like to move forward with, what your family looks like and how you really want to remember this time. It helps me to tailor a unique experience for you that is rooted in authenticity and connection.

I reserve your due date on my calendar and ask that you reach out within a few days of baby’s arrival so we can finalize your session date. Often I am asked when the ideal time is to have your in-home newborn session and the answer is, it varies! It is totally up to you to decide what timeframe feels best to you. We can do the first 2 weeks or even the first 12 weeks. I am flexible and compassionate that this transition is huge and take that into consideration when planning your date and time.

While you wait for baby to arrive, you won’t be left stranded by me. I help every step of the way to plan spots in the home and outfits that will work best for your Morristown, New Jersey in-home newborn session. I style every family that I work with and put a lot of time and effort into finding the right items for you and your family. The goal is really to help you select pieces that you already have in your closet and fill in any gaps with items I suggest on your styling board. This is a collaborative effort and I am open to all of your feedback and suggestions. The goal is COMFORT. This is a tender time, choose things that make you feel the most like you.

It is session day + what happens after

First things first, when I show up – I ready to move as slow or as fast as baby allows. If baby needs to eat every 15 minutes, that works for me! I will capture all of the feeding photos. If baby is awake and happy, that is great and if baby sleeps the entire time, that is great. I take my time, I chat in between photos and during breaks in the action. I promise that I am in no rush and your baby is so special, but they are not unique in the fact that they will cry, poop, and sleep. All of it is part of the process that I love so much.

My only ask is that you go into a session like this with an open mind. If you want photos in the crib but your baby can’t stand to be away from you for more than 5 seconds, those photos just may not be feasible. If you wanted sleepy photos but your baby has FOMO, we have to be able to pivot and lean into it. I promise to always be flexible and I want you to be able to feel that way, too. I have always been able to deliver beautiful and diverse galleries to family’s even when baby cries, sleeps, poops – you name it! That’s all part of it!

Once I leave, you can expect a full gallery in your inbox within 3-4 weeks. Depending on your package, you will either pick your favorites or upgrade to purchase the entire gallery. My packages range from $650-$900. If you are to choose the $650 option and buy out the gallery, you will never pay more than $900. There is no penalty to you for choosing a package and changing your mind later.

My clients often secure their newborn sessions right after the leave their first trimester, especially if they are interested in bundling my maternity and newborn sessions together for a discount. Since newborns often make up their own mind when it comes to their arrival date, I like to keep my months light to accommodate for any changes and be flexible.
